The faithful, as often as they visit a church, in order to pray for the dead on the day on which the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed (November 2) is celebrated or on the Sunday immediately following, may gain:
A plenary indulgence applicable only to the souls detained in purgatory, on condition of confession and Communion, and the recitation six times during each visit of Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory be for the intentions of the Sovereign Pontiff.
This means that you must:
1) Visit a church on November 2nd or the Sunday following it.
2) Say 6 times the Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be for the intention of the Pope.
3) Go to Confession within 8 days before or after November 2nd.
4) Go to Holy Communion one day before November 2nd or within 8 days afterwards.
5) You may gain this plenary indulgence each time you visit a church on this day and say the above prayers.
The faithful who during the period of eight days from the Commemoration of All Souls inclusive (November 2nd), visit a cemetery in a spirit of piety and devotion, and pray, even mentally, for the dead, may gain:
A plenary indulgence on the usual conditions, on each day of the Octave, applicable to the dead.
